This project was a collaboration between ButtnSki, a women-owned outdoor apparel company based in Summit County, and Outer Range Brewing Co. to create a Hazy IPA called Play to Après. The goal was to celebrate the adventurous spirit of women in the mountains and empower them to “get their butt out there.”
Drawing inspiration from my personal backcountry skiing photos, I incorporated the iconic ridge from the Coon Hill area into the can design. The illustration features women in action, recreating and challenging themselves in the outdoors—a tribute to the athletic and bad ass women of Summit County.
The women in the design are wearing ButtnSki’s signature fleece shorts, made to keep your bum warm during outdoor adventures. This detail not only connects the apparel to the beer but also reinforces the shared ethos of adventure, empowerment, and fun.
Through this design, I aimed to capture the essence of playing hard and enjoying the après lifestyle, all while showcasing the strength and camaraderie of the women who truly “get after it” in the mountains.
At the heart of this project lies a commitment to authenticity. The website’s nature-inspired aesthetics, characterized by captivating imagery and a harmonious color palette, mirror Heather’s ethos and values. Every design element, including the hand-drawn tagline “Breathe, Balance, and Explore,” captures the essence of her brand and vision.
Built upon the foundations of HTML, CSS, and WordPress, the website seamlessly integrates functionality with design. Ensuring an intuitive user experience was paramount, from the moment visitors land on the homepage to effortlessly registering for Heather’s upcoming events.
As you navigate Heather’s website, I invite you to immerse yourself in a world where wellness intertwines with nature’s embrace.
